You can become involved with APESMA in many ways. How about becoming an APESMA representative at your workplace? Or you might like to become involved on our Young Professionals committee. There are plenty of opportunities – give your local APESMA office a call or email us to find out more.

Here are just nine reasons to consider getting involved with APESMA:

  1. Know what's going on
You'll get to know more about what's going on at your workplace and why.
  2. Build your skills
It will help you develop your workplace skills. New opportunities for education, training and personal development.
  3. Contribute
You'll be contributing something, even if you can only spare a little time. You could be a workplace contact – making sure members receive information, acting as a link, between members and APESMA.
  4. Be a voice for Young Professionals
You can participate in the democratic structures of APESMA and represent the interests of our younger members.
  5. Make it happen
You'll help ensure that APESMA is the kind of Association you want it to be. After all, it's only as good as you make it.
  6. Network
You can work together with colleagues and friends, and meet new people.
  7. Have your say
You can have more of a say on what APESMA does in your workplace – bring up issues that you really know are of importance to you and your colleagues. Maybe you're unhappy with the lighting in the car park, or think you should have different working hours. Whatever the issue, the only way you can change it is to raise it
  8. Make a difference
You get to make a difference in your workplace; APESMA is raising the profile of issues affecting young professionals in many forums – this is your chance to be involved.
  9. And if that's not enough
If you become an APESMA workplace representative, we'll send you on a training course, and give you advice and support, as well as other great resources.
